Hi All,
The idea of this thread is to learn & help others learn Amibroker & get the most out of this powerful tool.I have been using Amibroker since 2 yrs(newbie??) but still learning. Those who are not used to computer language find themselves overwhelmed. Most are stumped by the AFL.They wonder..... what the heck?? Do I have to be a software geek to be able to trade?
This thread is meant for the the newbies to share their experience & basically learn from other learners(L2L).Some Ami Experts are most welcome to give a helping hand.
So here we go....
I am pleasantly surprised when I find a feature which I had not known even after many months of using the software. And it greatly improved my efficiency.I am referring to amibroker keyboard customization:.Many must be using it already. But took me moths to find out.For the benefit of those who want to know here is How:-
1.Open Amibroker. Right click on standard menu bar( where file, edit, insert etc are there)
2. In the drop-down window click customize.
3. click the keyboard tab
4.Under category select-Window
5.Under commands scroll down & select -"Tile vertically" or "tile horizontally"
6.Click In the box named "Press new shortcut key:" & press "m" on keyboard(of course you can press any other key)
7.click "Assign".Now the key "m" will be displayed in "Key Assignment" window.
1.Again go to Category & select "file".
2.Under commands scroll down & select "New Default Chart"
3.Click In the box named "Press new shortcut key:" & press "n" on keyboard
4.click "Assign".Now the key "n" will be displayed in "Key Assignment" window.
1.Again go to Category & select "file".
2.Under commands scroll down & select "close"
3.Click In the box named "Press new shortcut key:" & press "x" on keyboard
4.click "Assign".Now the key "x" will be displayed in "Key Assignment" window.
Now close the Customization window(click close tab)
To see the result:-
Now on the keyboard press "n" 3-4 times. Then press "m".Then press "x" a few times.
