Brokerage Callculation

Hello Guys,
I am new to this commodities. I want to know the exact formula to calculate the brokerage. My broker states he will be giving me 3 paise brokerage for commodities but not able to explain me how to calculate. Can any one give me the formula on how to calculate the brokerage for commodities and equities ???:confused:

(Qty.*Price*0.03)/100
Suppose a Silver contract of 5 Kg silver is bought at 18000/- , your brokerage would be :
(5*18000*0.03)/100 = 27
