Demat needed for Intraday F&O and Eq?

Hi,

I am new to intraday. i just came across some discount brokers like zerodha,RKSV etc they offer trading accounts for cheap brokerage.
right now i dont have demat account i am trading from my friends account.i am thinking to open in one of these broking firms please help me out this
