Fundamental Analysis Software

#1
Hey Guys,

Just want to know if anyone is aware of any software that can help do fundamental analysis of NSE stocks by fetching and analysisng the fundamental data.

I am aware of a similar software called Valuegain www.valuegain.com but unfortunately it works only for US and Australian equities.

Can anyone please advise if they know of some tools to do fundamental analysis of Indian equities?

Thanks in advance.

Hi,
I think you're talking about a stock screener. Valuegain, or Valuelines, was a US information service.

Try Googling StockScreener for Indian market. I'd guess most brokers would have one. ICICIDirect has one with pre-defined screens. But some of the date I found to be out of date so far.

Hope this helps.

Hi, I beleive Valuegain is a Australian service powered by Hubb Financial... The software itself just makes it easier for the users to do the funda analysis as with the graphs and explanations. (works for me as I am completely new to fundamental analysis)

Anyway I tried looking at the yahoo and google stock screeners but if I am nto wrong they are only for US and few other markets but not for Indian markets... Could you please guide me to a screener that is for NSE scripts.

I think moneyworks4me is not a s/w that does fundamental valuation rather relative valuation.

There is a huge difference in these 2 valuation approaches, as you know.

Just showing fundamental ratios is not enough because the challenging task in doing fundamental modelling is coming up with zillion of assumptions including capital structure, margins, excess return, capex requirements etc.

If you want to get an idea of a true fundamental valuation, you can visit my blog (fundamentalvaluation.blogspot.com)where I am planning to do only *true* fundamental valuation of Indian companies.

I recently finished with satyam.

Prices : 400 for 10 companies data for 1 month.
4000 for 100 companies data for 1 year.

Is Rs50 per company for organising data justified? Such info is freely available foreign markets (like msn money) but that doesn't seem to have guaranteed success. There are numerous other factors affecting a stock. So as for me (and I think for other serious value investors too) this is a necessary but not sufficient tool for stock screening and owing to this limited usage the price seems on the extreme higher end. and a cap on the number of companies you can get data for is complete overvaluation of the service.
