I dont understand allocation in IPOs. If ipo is over subscribed then shares are allotted proportionately (with respect to their bid quantity) to all subscribers or is allocation done on lottery basis?
Say for eg I bid for shares of Rs 1 lakh then how much allocation finally i would get?
Someone told me that lesser the bid quantity.. higher is allocation chances. How is that possible?
