gold and silver were long since last one week
but it looks silver has already gone short today
and before to day closing, gold will also go short
this is just my view, tommorow movement will confirm it
Hello Ashwani..It seems I have missed a lot... :)
I have been traveling a lot lately due to my work and personal reasons..
Will look at the post you have done..

Thanks

i posted my last post too soon, gold dropped again at 20:30. I squared off my last position in gold when the price went negative at 12:00 (when there are a few days of weakness in gold, the first day of weakness has gold decreasing in price after 12:00 instead of increasing in price at 12:00 on the mcx.) i gambled a bit and tried to short sell a gold guinea after 13:30 but gold temporarily recovered, i lost nerve and i squared off.

I'm short on lead with a target of rs ~100 based on the previous lows of august 8/9. Copper's long term weakness seems to be leading to lower prices on lead and zinc.

Edit:
In the short term, lead tends to follow zinc and while zinc may have been showing strength since 11:30 today, it hasn't gained that much and lead has kept it's momentum of going downwards since 12:30 instead of a drastic increase in price by 20:30.
thanks for your views on lead and zink, they match with mine view
and of course gold is extremly voletile

it looks ,weekness is over ,in base metal pack and oil and gas pack but it also looks, this weekness may shift to silver and gold

i had thought it was only the price reaching usd 1,920/oz that triggered the short fall.

News of the swiss franc being pegged to the euro and now that the franc is no longer a safe haven currency could have led to weakness in gold and silver:

I also use http://www.kitcometals.com/charts/Zinc.html and http://www.kitcometals.com/charts/Lead.html to see the prices of Zinc and Lead before market opening. I no longer open new positions on Saturdays as it is too risky especially for gold and silver. On Saturdays, I now only close a losing position.

Last minute, I squared off my short on lead last night since Lead did not dip much after 22:30 and therefore was starting to gain strength. Today morning I can see that Lead has risen in price even before MCX opens.

Kitco charts are not operative on Saturdays and I no longer open new positions on Saturdays as it is too risky especially for gold and silver. I've seen prices rise very high on Saturday only to crash by Monday, On Saturdays, I now only close a losing position.

I'd wait until 10:30 or at least 10:10 to open a new position to avoid opening time volatility on the MCX.
