I also use http://www.kitcometals.com/charts/Zinc.html and http://www.kitcometals.com/charts/Lead.html to see the prices of Zinc and Lead before market opening. Kitco charts are not operative on Saturdays and I no longer open new positions on Saturdays as it is too risky especially for gold and silver. I've seen prices rise very high on Saturday only to crash by Monday, On Saturdays, I now only close a losing position.

Last minute, I squared off my short on lead last night since Lead did not dip much after 22:30 and therefore was starting to gain strength. Today morning I can see that Lead has risen in price even before MCX opens.

I'd wait until 10:30 or at least 10:10 to open a new position to avoid opening time volatility on the MCX.
you are going at a very right track, basically your perdiction of lead was perfect!!!
yesterday on closing all the base metal was strong
gold and silver were short
CRUDE AND N.GAS WERE LONG

you will be surprised to know that where as you are giving 10 to 30 minute time for consolidation, previously i was giving 2 hour time for morning and was taking my first decision of new trade at 12,but now i have enhanced my consolidation period from two to five hour and i am taking my first decision at 3 o clock and second at 8 o clock and final at 11.20
so nither 10 am nor 6 pm is in my trading decision time
so now i am far away from voletility periods

dear,
for a day trader, now only gold and silver are the better options...(((for the longs...you are right, it is better to stay away..))).
now what do you think regarding gold or silver???
wheather it was a long or short???
always use technicals not sentiment
then you will always be right
views formed on the basis of sentiment are always wrong
