Need help with multi-monitor setup replicating displays.

Hi Guys,

Need help.
I have 2 Dell monitors which i am trying to connect to my Lenovo laptop (extended displays) for my trade setup.

I used an HDMI splitter, but when i try to connect, i can extend from laptop but only 1 X 2 displays, that is both the monitors replicate each other and not 1 x 3.

I even tried connecting one HDMI and other VGA to same Lenovo laptop to Dell monitors, but unfortunately that does not help.

Please help, if anyone has a similar setup, shed a lot of bucks for this setup
(I stay in Bangalore, if anyone have any technician contacts would be great).

I got a suggestion at tradingqna, and i ordered a USB to VGA adapter to try my luck.

you have VGA port and a hdmi port ...

so connect vga cable from laptop to one monitor
and connect hdmi cable to another monitor and do extend display and you are all set.

Do your monitors have both VGA and HDMI port?

That actually does not work. It supports 2 at a time.

Strange...

@Subhadip there are already "n" number of people out there who use dual monitors and getting to make it work should not be a rocket science, only thing is getting the proper configuration, for which I am reaching out to people, and that's a common sense.

I don't need to create a research paper or write a thesis for using a dual monitor configuration !!
