Trading the US Markets from India

I have a few questions that I hope can be answered easily by the members here:

1) Is it possible for Indian nationals in India to trade the US futures Markets from India?

2) Are there any restrictions on how they can funds/remit from their accounts as the US Markets are settled in USD as opposed to Rupees?

3) Do residents in India require any special permissions and/or brokerages to go through to get to the US markets ?

4) I know that Interactive Brokers already has an Indian office and can provide date feed etc? Is it okay to trade through them?

5) In general, is there a lot of interest in India for traders to trade the US markets? as there is a lot of liquidity fro the US markets ?

Trading is an online activity which can be done if you have a brokerage account setup already. Setting it up with having no permanent presence in US( US address I mean) is probably not allowed
Also , the funding has to be done from a US bank account . Not sure whether funding from INDIA would be Ok

Forgot to mention that I know several folks who trade US market everyday through their already existing account

Yes... as far as i know u can trade US and European mkts from India.... thru Interactive Brokers ... in fact u get data feeds from 80 mkts worldwide... u can contact them ..they will help u..:thumb:

It is an yes to all the questions regarding trading the US futures markets. Everything is possible under the sun, you only need the will and mind to do.
