Can someone explain this why the buy point is located after point D instead of point D itself in the eBay chart for a cup with handle chart

Its a double bottom, not cup and handle, the confirmation is after it breakouts beyond point C. The buy point isn’t point D, since there is no confirmation yet.

seems that was not a buy on price pattern... looks like buy triggered on price closing above the MA ( also confirmed by a volume rise as marked on the chart.

If the chart was clearer (maybe only the price and volume bars) one could look for a WW in there. There seems to be volume spike around the pivots.
