i shall try to summarise this:

there are three(actually now four) types of brokers
1) using FT diet odin- like shriram, anagram, even angel diet from angel broking etc.

2) using Asian cerc terminal- reliance new supertrade, unicon, angel anywhere all are using same terminal

3) independent terminals like: indian infoline TT and ventura,PIB from indiabulls

4) nse NOW- mark- many are slowly changing to this terminal as its free to brokers.

comparison:
========

price: TT one time 555 rs. same with unicon. shriram wil gv u anything free of cost when u show sum brokerage. angel shal always bull u in generating more and more brokerage. too many calls even on a trendless week.PIB -750 rs one time. reliance supertrade-500 rs per quarter.

performance
=========
TT is best - unlimited stocks.
asian cerc all terminals max 200 stocks
PIB- 100 stocks
ventura- 50

uptime

angel is worst here. their angel anywhere in last few months have given daily downtime and now they have changed all clients to odin or angel trade.
i have taken all my clients out from angel and given to other brokers.

Never even open an trading/demat account with a bank. Prefer a business whose primary activity is broking and not banking. Also, SBI trading is not independent by itself, but has tied-up with motilal oswal financial services(MOFS). i have consistently heard undesirable things about MOFS from experienced members on this forum.

The banks guys will try to sell you saying "Sir, this is a 3 in one account". The customer feels that this 3 in 1 account is some big thing.

Why SBI is not good for Demat ?
My demat is with SBI .:clapping:
and i have no problem. My a/c is also with R Money. but R money's a/c is not good , charges is high, some hidden charges also applicable.
with SBI, they charge 0.15/- for Intra day (0.075/- buy+0.075/- sell) & 0.50/- for Delivery. Then what is problem ?
other a/c provider charge a fix charge for trading.

R Money उनके लिये बहुत बढ़िया है जो High Value Trader हैं । सबसे ज्यादा दिक्कत यह है कि R Money के चार्जेस फ़िक्स नहीं रहते हैं । पहले मै लिमिट कार्ड यूज करता था । लिमिट कार्ड यूजर के लिए ब्रोक्रेज काफ़ी कम थी परन्तु फ़िर नियम आ गया कि प्रति ट्रेड 15/- लिया जायेगा । जोकि छोटी ट्रेडिंग करने वालों के लिए बहुत ज्यादा है । R Money छोटी ट्रेडिग करने वालों के लिए प्लेटफ़ार्म नहीं है । इसको आप ऐसे भी समझ सकते हैं कि मैने R Money में दिसम्बर 2009 में Mutual Fund में SIP शुरु की । तब कमीशन 2.5% लिया जाता था । परन्तु फ़रवरी 2010 से SIP पर 15/- और One time निवेश पर 75/- कर दिया गया । अब आप स्वंय बतायें कि यदि हम 1000/- निवेश करते हैं तो 75/- यानि लि 7.5% कमीशन लगेगा । यह कहां जायज है ? हां यदि हम एक लाख निवेश करें तो भी 75/- यानि कि 0.075% जोकि बहुत बढ़िया है । मै फ़िर वही कहूंगा कि यदि हम बड़े निवेशक हैं तो R Money is Best. But it is not for small investor like me.
