NF Swing Trading using Fractal AFL

Same settings and same timeframe as before i.e., 7 min and 0.053 , 0.008. I checked for 5 months back data and dropped the idea. The results are good in sideways market, but when the market comes out of range the losses are very high. You also check, because this has to be done manually, Maybe I...

NF Swing Trading using Fractal AFL

The idea is great. Never thought in that way. I will also check on large data and if profitable, then it will save us from lot of whipsaws. Thanks once again for the concept. I have an inner feeling that it will work out to be a robust system.

The low of the day is 71 , I have seen that, rather it was my trade :), eventhough I had placed SL at 72.5. The point is the dip to 71 and revert back to normal level was so fast that I did not see that on the terminal at all. I think it is some sort of manipulation. The modus operandi looks...

NF Swing Trading using Fractal AFL

I had purchased 8200 ce today morning at 98.6 and holding with 72.5 SL. The SL got triggered and my order was filled at 71 around 10 am. When I see the 8200 ce graph at NSE site , I find that the lowest value at that time was 92.5. Then how come the order was filled at 71 1 or 2 points...

NF Swing Trading using Fractal AFL

Very tough going. Too many whipsaws, Only plus point is that the losses are not much. Once in a while some big profit is coming, which is balancing the loosing trades. I think all the mechanical systems are having the same problem. Don't know how long this will go.

Thanks for pointing out the mistake. 0.053 & 0.008 is the correct one. Please delete the image from your post to avoid confusion.

Yes, in a way . Basically we are getting break even, since we are purchasing the new option with the profits accrued, we will not loose anything even if the option goes down to zero.

I thought you were replying in the context of the single post. I have understood your points and have framed certain conditions to avoid those issues. If you have some more ideas please add. 1. Purchase options costing around rs. 50 at the time signal triggers. 2. There should be a minimum...

Thanks for sharing your thoughts. I think you have read only the part of the discussion. Actual idea was to accomodate traders who don't want to risk around 50k of margin required for Nifty Futures. The option trade will be only 5k in comparision. True the option value decays over a period...

NF Swing Trading using Fractal AFL

Initial stop for the Option will be TSL of the fractal. I will post one example for the same. Had you taken the long on 16th May with Nifty Futures you would have ended with a loss of 7866.6-7821.3=45.3 points. If you had entered options instead of Futures you would have lost...

[/B] I had already mentioned the TF as 7 min. Please use the same it it is very good. There is too much volatility now, because of the RBI event on Tuesday, Better wait till Tuesday evening before entering a trade. Rule of Thumb is to PURCHASE an option costing around Rs. 50 as soon...

Frequent changing of systems is not good for money management. If we find some good system, than the current one, we should try to trade it on a smaller scale, once we are in profit we can upgrade. Currently I don't have sufficient funds to enter into new system. Maybe later.:) Most of the...
