Stocks for the long and short term portfolio

Thanks Amit. Also read your recent post about waiting for 6 months before investing, so that NIFTY comes to realistic level. I agree with you. Where should i park my money till then ? FDs are still giving negative real interest rates and also have 1% penalty for premature break. Any liquid...

Stocks for the long and short term portfolio

Hi Amit, Any comments about RE and infra stocks ? This sector should take at least 4-5 years to see any reversal. Unitech has almost become a penny stock. L&T is trading around 770. What's your take on these ? Sent from my KFTT using Tapatalk 2

In Search of a system that need no chart no TA/FA

RR, It seems you have gone through the cream threads on this forum. Ever thought about combining SG's Quadra, ST's oscillator and Raghav's price action together ? It should be a great combination. The Quadra is great and simple but it has steep SLs many of the times and gives signal a bit...

How to trade Commodities - Gold, Silver, Crude Oil, Natural Gas

Thanks Kamlesh. By the way, based on your recommendation, reading Miner. I must thank you for recommending such a fantastic book. This book covers lots of E-wave analysis. Hows your experience with E-waves based on miner's strategies ? My first impression is that those are not easy to...

How to trade Commodities - Gold, Silver, Crude Oil, Natural Gas

Hi Kamlesh, I went through this thread, right from the start and its really compelling me to jump into the markets again! I burnt my hands twice by investing in the markets based on tips. This time, i am giving myself enough time to understand Techincal Analysis. Somewhere in the midway of...

How to trade Commodities - Gold, Silver, Crude Oil, Natural Gas

Hi Vikrit, Hope you don't mind my comments for the questions directed towards Kamlesh :). This WW has lesser chance to succeed as the point 5 is beyond sweet zone i.e. point 5 is beyond the parellel line to 2-4 drawn through point 3. On second thoughts, point 5 will be very close the line...

How to trade Commodities - Gold, Silver, Crude Oil, Natural Gas

Okay. I am posting the chart again here. Precisely moved the trend line to the start of the wave 1(which is one bar previous to where it was marked on the chart posted earlier). Once we go short at 5, we can use Uttam's method of selling and sell more at LH i.e add to our position. At first...

How to trade Commodities - Gold, Silver, Crude Oil, Natural Gas

Thanks for your views. The wolf wave manual has several such examples. 1 should not be necessarily the swing high, but the start of the wave. Although i think, i could have drawn a trend line such that it could have accomodated 1 as swing high and in that case, 5 would have been beyond the...

How to trade Commodities - Gold, Silver, Crude Oil, Natural Gas

Are these valid Wolf waves ? The first one in yellow, was not able to reach 1-4 line. The second one in red was able to reach 1-4 line. The stopping volumes were not noticed on 5 for second WW, though. In fact, the first one also did not show any significant volume increase.

Quadra Safe Trading Strategy - I

Thanks a lot SG, for going through my markings. I have a query about re-entry. As you can see on the chart, the re-entries have fetched little profit or some loss. This is because, as soon as the swing low is formed we buy(once the high of the candle is taken out by next candle). The swing...

Quadra Safe Trading Strategy - I

Hi SG, I have marked entries for Hexaware below. Red dotted lines are for buy and yellow dotted lines are for exit when SL is hit. Is my re-entry correct or i am a bit late here ? I decided to enter only after confirming that all the EMAs are tilted upwards. This condition should be...

Quadra Safe Trading Strategy - I

Hi SG, The 1st ADD was because of 5th consecutive candle taking out lows of earlier candle. But couldn't understand the rationale behind adding 2nd ADD. Can you please explain ?

Quadra Safe Trading Strategy - I

Hi SG, Need to confirm - For EOD/hourly, we use 5 bars to mark swing high/lows and for less than hour TF we use 3 bars ? Also, if we consider 5 bar high low, say we are looking to mark swing high, should the high of first bar must be taken our by 2nd bar and low of the 4th bar be taken out by...

Quadra Safe Trading Strategy - I

As per the latest tweaks for intraday, SG has recommended to use 21 EMA instead of 50 EMA. Also, initial SL should be 21 EMA at the same candle on which you enter the trade. Later on the TSL should be moved along swing high/low.

Quadra Safe Trading Strategy - I

Hi SG, As far as the ADDs are concerned we ADD if there is 5th consecutive bar making high/low by taking out highs/lows of earlier bars. Can we also add more lots when the candle touches 5 EMA with 21/50 EMA tilted in favor of the trend, after making new swing high/low when we are long/short...

Quadra Safe Trading Strategy - I

Hi SG, I have one query. For BNF, with all EMAs tilted downwards in 5'o clock position, with 50 EMA almost flattening out, the bear candle closing below 50 EMA, do you think one should exit long, instead of waiting for SL to hit ?

Quadra Safe Trading Strategy - I

Thanks, got the long entries on the chart. The entry and exit based on SL is clear. But how do you re-enter, i went back and tried to search for re-entry rules, but couldn't find any. In this very same chart, we have exited long on hitting SL and re-entered long again. Can you please explain...

Quadra Safe Trading Strategy - I

Hi SG, I think you have posted the same image as the earlier one ? Even this one doesn't have trades marked on it! From the chart, looks like the SL was hit in the morning and we exited short indicated by yellow dotted line. Then we went long when the condition (5 EMA > 8 EMA > 13 EMA) was...

Quadra Safe Trading Strategy - I

Guys, those who use charting portal instead of application for Quadrasafe strategy, which one do you use ? iCharts doesn't allow 4 EMAs to be entered, max 3 EMAs allowed. I don't find chartink very reliable. Any suggestions ?
