you're right, i'm also switching to nifty trading instead of stock delivery based.. could you please clear a small doubt? It's about overall charges/expenses on one lot of nifty traded both sides...
1. we buy 1 lot of nifty oct futures @ 4200 and
2. we wait till it expires (or we can sell that) at 4300.
3. I'd like to know about extra charges on futures apart from brokerage
4. brokerage is (4200*50)+(4300*50)*0.03/100 = 127.5
5. STT is 0.0125 of brokerage = 127.5*0.0125/100 = 0.0159
6. Now what else are left?
7. I was wondering CoC (Cost of Carry) has a role
8. I also read that futures trading attract Interest on open positions - how and what is the rate of interest they'll be charging for our 1 Lot of nifty...?
