Sensex ends down 120pts, NTPC zooms 7% .....................

The Sensex opened on a weak note at 20,404 - down 61 points, but moved up to a high of 20,520 in early noon deals.

Selling in scrips like Bharti, ICICI Bank and Grasim saw the index drop to a low of 20,294 in late noon deals.

The Sensex finally closed with a loss of 120 points at 20,345.

The Sensex had hit an all-time high of 20,529 in noon deals yesterday before closing with a gain of 164 points at 20,465.

The BSE Power Index zoomed over 3% (148 points) to 4806 today. The BSE PSU Index was up over 2% at 11,011.

Market breadth was bullish - out of 2,954 scrips traded, 1,610 logged gains today..........

bulls...the dow spoilt the party 2day....? no !
it was the whole hog with asia also joining after the new year hangover...
till v close below 17950....no fears for bulls from anywhere..
however ,short term bulls need to keep a close eye on 19050...
only a close below this would upset the bull cart in the short term...

Well Suduko I must admit getting some sense out of your talk now, but more than than that will like to appreciate your zest and way of presenting thing. As matter of common experience we all know how soon we get bugged by a routine market commentary if not invested so broadly, but sincerely you have added a whole new style of (lets call it enter-exit and trade!! ) putting the data.
Hope to see more value additions from you.

technicals capture each & every action of evry player in the charts as charts r mirrors of the mkt...they never lie...!
they reflect the CARDIOGRAM of each @ every mkt participant whether short or long & give a squeezed juice up of all the ingredients...

until v close below 17950...no worry for any worry...!

but for novice entries , a short term level of 19525 should b keenly kept a tab on.
RIL & RPL have given superb breakouts from their short term stagnation & can gain more till sensex maintains abv 19525.

Sensex ends up over 340pts, L&T gains 4%

The Sensex opened with a positive gap of 23 points at 20,368, which also turned out to be the low for the day. The index hit a high of 20,763 points in late noon deals.

The Sensex finally closed with a gain of 342 points (1.7%) at 20,687.

The BSE Oil & Gas Index zoomed over 2% ( 315 points) to 13,917.

Market breadth was marginally bullish - out of 2,922 scrips traded, 1,483logged gains and 1,416 declined today.

INDEX GAINERS....

Reliance led the rally today with a gain of nearly 3% (Rs 83) at Rs 2,986.

ICICI Bank advanced nearly 5% (Rs 57) to Rs 1,285. L&T gained 4.5% (Rs 183) to Rs 4,244.

HUL moved up 3.8% to Rs 231. RCom gained 3.6% to Rs 760. ONGC added nearly 3% at Rs 1,344.

Hindalco , ITC and DLF also finished with gains today.

.... AND LOSERS

NTPC declined 1.8% to Rs 272. M&M dropped 1.5% to Rs 823.

Infosys was down over 1% at Rs 1,695. TCS and Satyam also declined.

MOST ACTIVE COUNTERS

Reliance Petroleum was the most active counter with a turnover of Rs 431 crore followed by RNRL (Rs 398 crore), Reliance (Rs 272 crore), Centurion Bank of Punjab (Rs 261 crore) and Reliance Energy (Rs 248 crore).

the dow was in & that was out......
bulls.....reminding again & again.....dont fall prey to dow....they might b entering the recession ....but not us....infact v will benefit....
the more the japenese withdraw from U S.....more will they nibble here....
just keep 18050 IN MIND & NOTHING ELSE.....nobody can loot the bounty from u till v maintain abv 18050......

AS xpected....technically , both the counters were sizzling with activity...

SENSEX LIFE HIGH CLOSE :20813.

bulls.... , did u watch....despite the dow becoming a DOVE....it did not make much diff for us....those who remin awake for the dow to waste their mornings dubbing the dow r bound to loose ....always.
our mkt technical set is very diff from the dow...
so dont try to mimic the dow or u become pigeons....
now unless v close below 18125.....no worry of the dow or their hatred or love.......

ALERT.....entrants who have entered the mkts abv 18125 should consider themselves as fresh entrants as they risk a huge amt till 18125....or they can keep short term stoplosses accor to their comfort.....!!!!
TODAY WAS THE 97th trading session from 21st aug close of 13989....
