thank you very much for all the details. I shall go thorugh the two webpages you have given and try to configure buffet'a analysis . I also saw your message regarding how to calcualte EPS, DPS and BVPS. thanks once again . have you crated any macro in excel for Buffet,s analaysis.

I have been using sify data for the year high low but believe they data is Jan to Dec high lows but most company have march as year end.......... which means for accuracy we have to use April to March High low........

What is the source of your data?

You can try https://www.indbankonline.com// to get 10 year data but again the data is Jan Dec

I guess the change will make little difference to the results but need to check

not able to get data for the PTC India for more then 5 years, for this model need atleast 7 years of data to work

Jai Corp (check postings elsewhere in traderji) is mind blowing and tata tele is still loss making so both wont work.
The model can be used only on companies that have long and consistent history.

The positives are in the numbers attached have also added a few more statistics, the negatives are as below

The 1st qtr results was very bad with a EPS of 2.54 and if the poor performance continues then the year end EPS could end up at approx 10 which means the stock is trading at high 27-28 times FY2008 earnings and might get lot more cheaper during the year or till turnaround for the company and the Auto Industry

According to a news article : At the end of FY08 Rane Engine shareholders will get 100 shares in the spun-off firm and 56 shares in Rane Holdings for every 100 held.) Dont know if this is going to add value to Rane Engine Valves.
