I fail to understand how do you use two monitors with different screens. As i know you can have to monitors with same screen shots. But how will you get two different screens like charts in one and trading window in another.. Please explain.
This is what is meant by 2 monitor http://www.microsoft.com/library/media/1033/windowsxp/images/using/setup/hwandprograms/67360-dual-monitor-setup.jpg 2 monitors connected to one cpu, correct me if my understanding of ur doubt is wrong :D

i want 2 know difference between intraday & delivery, on trading terminal how will i determine delivery r daytrading please explain me
Hi,
Inraday means you buy and sell on same day so no postion.Delevery means you are holding position which you bought.

For trading better to ask your broker for tha same. Some brokers are giving order type as margin/intraday etc.

Re: Absolute Beginner Guide.-Margin for derivative

Hi,

An excellent post and very informative FNO document.

Can someone please tell me if I can use FD as margin for futures position. This is written in the FNO document in the first post. I asked my broker Sharekhan and he was quite surprised and said only cash not even stocks. Though i read in some post that ICICI allows stocks as margin.

Can someone please throw light on this?

Thanks

Rajvir,

ICICI Direct/sharekhan/geojit/etc allows stocks as stocks as margin. ICICI Direct doesn't charges for the same but geojit and other have a small interest for that.

You need to manually contact ICICIDirect and pledge your FD certificates to them if you want to make margin from FD. Also all branches will not allow this, depends on your bank manager and ICICIDirect Branch. This FD margin funding can only be done offline.

Thanks a lot for your reply sir.

I still have one doubt, when you say that FD margin funding can only be done offline does this mean that I will have to go and pledge the FD and can trade against this FD online (as normally done with cash margin) or does that mean that I will have to open an offline account and will not be able to trade online.

How does an offline account work?

Rajvir

Rajvir,

You need to do the paper works manually also I doubt whether all branches will allow this.
Once ICICIDirect announced this ans yesterday I checked their website and seen that they have removed FD from the list... But Mutual Funds/UTI Bonds/etc are still available to pledge. Discuss with your branch about FDs.

Offline Account:
In offline account you need to call the broker or need to go to the broker firm for buying/selling.

Hope I cleared your doubts atleast.
