Last Traded Price (LTP) is the latest traded premium.

This is very good info. Thank you haribird.
I liked your idea about *leveraged trading*. Good thinking and is a good suggestion too.

I have a demat account with Motilal Oswal. Is it a good one or do you suggest me to switch to Sharekhan or some other?

Problem with Motilal Oswal portal is that it is built for Internet Explorer. I am a linux os user and I use only Firefox. This technical difficulty forced me to think of another demat account which suits my environment.

Thanks
Jagadeesh

Jagadeesh,

If you think like that just switch to another broker, its not a big task to switch.
Call the broker CC and they will come to your home.

If you are a day trader opt for software based plan.
IndiaBulls, Interactive Brokers($5000 needed as margin to open account), Sharekhan, Religare, India infoline Geojit, etc provides software based. While taking the plan ask them you want software based rather than web based.

Best Wishes,

Hi,

As Haribird suggested get the guy to come over or take your laptop there and insist on the software version rather than the web-based one if you wanted to do rapid intraday trades.

As you are a Linuxer, I wish you all the best but I think you'll have a hard time finding brokerages (Indian) that have 100% cross-platform software.

Even Geojit's web-based trading works "best" with MS browser and is a bit dodgy with others :(. Their software version is 100% MS Windows.

By reading others thought on this issue, Another question poped up to my mind is " Is Motilal Oswal is good or Shall I switch to other good demat accout?".

I will use MS-Windowz for trading.

Thanks
