Trading Options Based on Nifty Signals

Many traders use Technical Analysis for Nifty Futures and trade in Nifty Puts or Calls instead of the Nifty Futures itself. Most common examples of such trading are:

• Buying a Call option when a Buy signal in Nifty is generated, trying to take benefit from extra leverage.
• Selling a Put option when a Buy signal is generated in Nifty, to take additional benefit from price decay.

Such strategies can be automated in MasterTrader v3.0 and MasterTrader v8.0 without using any coding at all. In MasterTrader v3.0, traders can map the signal to the trading symbol. In MasterTrader v8.0, traders can use "add another scrip" feature.

MT3 is good.
But, only issue I find that their Technical Team release Plugin updates in mid of market hours without realizing that it would affect such as stoppage on MT3 while trades are on.

It is just suidicial for traders using MT3 on VPS, which either goes unnoticed or realised late.

I hope they would acknowledge it and would ensure that henceforth Plugin updates are released between 11:30PM to 9:00AM (of next day).

Data Feed Independent Plugin

Many traders often request us the option to chose their own data feed in Amibroker when using MasterTrader v3.0 for trading. The primarily problem in using a different data feed is that different data vendors use different symbols for the same scrip. So the trader will have to map the data vendor's symbol with MTv3 trading symbol every time he wants to trade.

We have now implemented this requirement with a rather simple procedure. In Amibroker top menu, click Symbol-> Information. In information tab, type the Nest symbol in "Full Name" field. This simple process helps Amibroker communicate to MTv3 the trading symbol independent of the charting symbol.
