Hi,

i have installed Amibroker and quotetracker V-3.9.5 with NSE free data in my machine. But auto refresh is not working in quote tracker. if i do manual refresh it fetch the data.

Anybody faced this same issue., Please tell me how to fix this.

Thanks

If you have downloaded trial version of Amibroker you can download quotes via amiquote. Tools>>Auto update quotes (amiquote only). Amiquote downloads data from *****. Here you have 2 choices, ***** Historical to download historical data and ***** Current to download today's data.

Under Amibroker user's guide>>Tutorial>>updating quotes>>how to get quotes, various compatible data sources are given. You may use either of them as per your requirement(but they are very expensive).

If you are looking for EOD data, you may use utilities developed by traderji members like Pankaj (PKJha), cemcompusoft and hemenkapadia, which are available free of cost. I have used GetBhavCopy by hemen kapadia and it works perfectly. You may download the same from his website hemenkapadia dot somee dot com . On same site, he has given help on how to install and run the software (very simple).

To see the data downloaded by GetBhavCopy in Amibroker, you will have to create a new database by clicking on File>>new>>Database and doing settings as explained in attached image. Here I have configured GetBhavCopy to download EOD data in the directory C:\program files\amibroker\BhavCopy
After creation of this new database, every download by GetBhavCopy is to be imported in Amibroker using File>>Import ASCII and then giving path of the latest file downloaded by GetBhavCopy.

To download realtime data, you will first have to decide between which RT data source is ok with you. Realtime data is expensive, involves lot of maintenance and issues related to data cleanliness, etc. and at least I am not using Free RT data. You may browse Amibroker Section in this forum to find more on data sources available. Googling and searching on the net will also help you identify the various options available to you alongwith their prices. Once you subscribe to any of these data sources, they generally issue step by step instruction as to how to import data downloaded by their softwares into Amibroker. It is advisable to opt for the smallest package from the vendor (may be little expensive), check the features and if they suit to your needs then going ahead with yearly subscription.

I hope this helps.

Regards,

Abhay

Can any one convert into afl

(C>(Mov(C,20,S)) AND ((Mov(C,20,S)>Mov(C,50,S)) AND (Mov(C,50,S)>Mov(C,200,S)))) AND V>50000
C > MA(C, 20) AND MA(C, 20) > MA(C, 50) AND MA(C, 50) > MA(C, 200) AND V > 50000;

I want to use this formula as a Explorer please convert into afl, thanking you
C > MA(C, 20) AND MA(C, 20) > MA(C, 50) AND MA(C, 50) > MA(C, 200) AND V > 50000;
If you want to explore, please tell me what is your idea. What you want to explore, BUY / SELL signals or something else. If you can detail your logic I can give you the exploration code.

Dear all members, I thought to start this thread for all the new and first time users of Amibroker.Since the previous threads about Amibroker are mostly for advanced users, it is beyond the capacity of the new users of Amibroker to comprehend and apply them right away.So, i am humbly inviting all the beginners to join this forum and request all the senior and advanced users to help us out with their vast and varied experience with Amibroker.I am sure our plight will be understood and taken care of by the experts.Thanking you all.
sanamtradeji sir, At the outset i would like to thank you, for starting this post, because there are hundreds of people who are yearning to learn the basics of TA, and learning TA especially with the use of SW like amibroker needs expert guidance and help.

What is lacking in present context is, ofcourse from my point of observation is that,

1) Those people who are well versed in charting and other aspects of TA, have either less time or not interested in helping the newbies to overcome the difficulties that one may have to face while learning.

2) And there are a second set of people like me, who are dying to learn the basics of the above, and have been spending time on the internet googling, but ending in vain.

Only few sites Traderji have quality discussion, and i can see people lending their time to educate others. Really great to see.

Only after reading this thread, i have developed a confidence in me that i can successfully learn to use amibroker.

Now comes the main part, which is born out of enthusiasm in me after reading the topic, I google searched for downloading Amibroker, somehow downloaded Amibroker 4.80 standard edition and installed it. BUT I SEE A MESSAGE AS " UNREGISTERED VERSION- DOES NOT SAVE CHANGES

Sanamtradeji sir, What does the above message signify? Does this mean if i make some charts, will it not store anything? How can i overcome this message " unregistered version" and store files in the data base. Is it possible. Please excuse me sir for two things, firstly for making such a long post, and secondly for asking so elementary things in this forum.

Thanks Sanamtradeji sir.
