Hi seniors, came across the follwing code from metastock

per1:=Input("Period",1,100,15);

can anybody explain this Input function and its equivalent in amibroker. :thumb:

hello murthy sir,
i have ieod data for 2 years.. my problem is i have that data saved like in seperate folders for per day. so all they r like around 250 folders.. so now i have to click one by one folder to import that data in to my amibroker software.. i wanted to ask u , that is there any way through which i can import the whole data in one go into my software.. rather than importing it one by one ...plsss reply me ,will be waiting..
regards,
manoj.

Can any afl expert add buy and sell veriables/conditons in this Afl for the use of Auto-analyses function of Amibroker.
This afl gives buy and sell signal(up or down arrow) on chart but when it is taken to auto-analyses it don't work as it has no sufficient variables or conditon for auto-analyses scan or exploration. This is a very good afl for swing trading as it indicates buy signal at lowest and sell at highest. If anybody do it I will be thankful to him.

this is another afl which gives good result(buy/sell arrow) on chart but has no sufficient variables/conditions for scan with auto-analyses function of Amibroker. If any afl expert add buy/sell variables/conditons in it for auto-analyses function, it will be very usefull for swing trading. I will be grateful to him

Regards, MoHaN

Hi friends,

Here are some simple AFL's for the three types of stoploss - Initial, Breakeven and Trailing stoploss.

1. Initial stoploss

/****************************************************
Initial Stoploss - lowest "low" of the last n bars
*****************************************************/
lookbackPeriod = Param("Lookback period", 2, 2, 30);
Plot(LLV(L,lookbackPeriod), "Testing", ParamColor( "Long", colorGrey40));

2. Breakeven stoploss

/*******************************************************
Breakeven Stoploss - Open + brokerage% of open
********************************************************/
brokeragePercentage = Param("Brokerage Percentage", 1, 0.1, 5, 0.1);
Plot(O + O*(brokeragePercentage/100) , "Testing", ParamColor( "Long", colorYellow ));

3. Trailing stoploss

/****************************************************
Trailing Stoploss - a% below nth highest high
*****************************************************/
lookbackPeriod = Param("Lookback period", 10, 2, 30);
stoplossPercentage = Param("Stoploss Percentage", 5, 0.2, 10, 0.2);

Plot(HHV(H,lookbackPeriod) - HHV(H,lookbackPeriod) * (stoplossPercentage / 100), "Bullish SL", ParamColor( "Long", colorGrey40));
Plot(LLV(L,lookbackPeriod) + LLV(L,lookbackPeriod) * (stoplossPercentage / 100), "Bearish SL", ParamColor( "Short", colorGrey40));

I will post the AFL's as and when I come up with any new ones.
Thanks,
Praveen.
many mnay thanks.i am new in TA and AB era.please tell me how can i read this indicator and how i recognise advantage/disadv or good/bad

nice post but only afl/coding is not dijesiable/eatable for newb/novis like me plzzz give few intrepretation/guide/lesson how to read indicator(given afl)
