i have picked this up from tj from senior member satya after surfing a lot

cos these softwares were attched by senior members 1 or 2years back so for all newbies like me :)

here is the link

http://www. 4shared.com/account/file/130682673/d3f46828/data_extractor.html

remove space before 4shared

the best part is we dun need another converter software to convert to csv format we have an option in de itself

and for basic charts using the (historical to date) data one can use

fcharts

Hey Folks,

It's been long since I logged onto Traderji...seems like I missed on lot of action :) As I say always lemme try and get back into groove and for next few days/weeks (till I get stuck with another assignment :p) lemme try and share what I can find on charts (tough I am not expert on hunting patterns ;)).

Here is weekly chart for Reliance Ind

For almost 52 weeks now this scrip has been trading in a very tight range of 200 points. At levels close to 1150 we see selling pressure emerging and at lower levels close to 950 there is buying interest amongst traders. Also Reliance is facing stiff resistance at from downward sloping trend line formed by connecting highs made in week of 18th Aug 2008 and 09th Apr 2010.

At present counter is trading at lower levels of trading range. In the week ending on 20th Aug Reliance formed a Bullish Harami candlestick pattern on weekly charts indicating a potential reversal. Also as a famous trading rule, in sideways/range-bound zone one can make use of indicators like Stochastics to take entry and exit decision. In following case, both %K and %D are in oversold zone with %K now cutting %D from below marking a possible long position for a very short target of 1080 levels. Entry SL can be placed at 958 (lower point of range). Risk reward ratio for this trade is 1:3

Hi,
I happened to come across your thread today and took an instant liking to it. Defiitely good stuff. one request the software link you had given in the first page of this thread is now defunct (probably because of the time lag). Could you kindly post a new link for the software so that I could download the extractor. Pl oblige

Thanks and regards

Thanks a lot Vishal for responding.. Actually it was SRF.. I bought 1000 shares of it for 165, then the price fell to 77, waited for 2 years, and booked profit  as soon as it reached 170 levels, and now a year later it is at 262 levels.

Actually i am spending a lot of time in learning about market, than trading... when once i am confident, i will do trades..

Take care friend

Just tried to bring technical perspective for SRF into discussion :) Naked view of daily charts tell us that SRF has been in a very strong uptrend since early last year and has been higher lows since then.

At 260 levels it managed to break past its 3 year highs, but the only worrying part that looks to me is lack on volume in this entire up move . There is hardly any volume traded and in last session on Friday it had transaction of less that one lakh shares.

Simple TA concepts like Fibonacci tell us that current thrust can find some resistance at 295-299 levels which is exactly 78.2% retracement of fall from 365 levels all the way to 63 levels. In case any one is hoping to jump into SRF the safe bet would be to wait for dips till 250 levels.

All comments & critics are most welcome...
