This is an open source End of Day Data Downloader written in Rebol 2.7.8. It downloads daily EOD (End Of Day) data as well as historical data (past EOD data) for NSE series and also the main indices.

The data is directly downloaded from the NSE/BSE servers and can be directly imported into AmiBroker, MetaStock as ASCII format using MetaStock downloader.It can be imported in AmiBroker with the same format file as Getbhavcopy.format.

Following source files will be createdin installation folder. Do not modify any of them unless you know what you are doing.
File "rebol.exe"
File "form-date.r"
File "ABCD.r"
File "unzip.exe"
File "README-ABCD.txt"


The data files are created in sub-directory below the program directory/folder.

Following folders are created automatically.
BSE
BSECUR
BSEFO
NSE
NSECUR
NSEFO

There is a bug in the Date Selector calender. If you select any previous month for start date, it shows the same month name when invoked again but the date is of current month. So select month again.

It is written in that where the data files are created.
look for log.txt in same folder.

Since the quotes should be in seperate lines, you can simply 'grep' out what you need.

So can do simple batch file / script that
1) opens ABCD and waits for close ( or do it manually)
2) extract required scrips using grep ( i gave command earlier ) and output to seperate csv
3) use import script.

Thanks, its always a pleasure to exchange ideas with you & Josh as it invariably ends up in new learning. Will take a look at it. Not immediately though, as too much on my plate presently . Its good to know that you n Josh are there if help be needed!!!

Before release, I want to know, Should I keep index names as is received from NSE? Right now I am removing spaces.

there is not any log file in the folder does this picture explains anything which is attached ? i must be doing something wrong i want to know what

There is no error. It has downloaded the file in NSE folder below your installation folder. Other wise it would have given boo boo error.

Click on help and read the instructions. You are still not reading them.

Where did you install ABCD ? Open windows explorer and give snapshot of that folder.
