I heard about Forex trading. but Ihave some doubts.
1. Whether RBI permits to remit the amount through Credit Card.
2.Who are the Indian Broking firms offering the facility to trade and their brokerage.
3 The timings of the trade.
4. Is it necessarry to open account abrod.
Hi Mr Rao
I work for forex broker in UK, we are opening our office in mumbai in MArch-09. In regards to your queries.
1. Forex trading is capital investment and only AD 1 category banks are allowed to transfer funds for such investment. If any broker taking funds to creditcrd then you can be in trouble so avoid that.
2. We will be offering variety of services including educational facilties as well.
3. FOREX is traded 24/5
4. It is necessary to have account with foreign company since it is regulated in India.

A forex trader based in USA has opined

* Unregulated. Forex may sound like an exchange
but it isn't. It exists entirely in cyberspace
with every broker and every bank having diff-
erent prices for any particular currency. There
is no regulation, even for brokers who register
with the CFTC and the NFA. Forex brokers do
not have to mark to market each day as do
futures brokers. If your forex broker files
for bankruptcy or absconds with your money you
have zero recourse.
