sunil,

welcome back to the thread. hope you are fine. we missed your presense in last few days. we messed up the second trades while calclating the applicable factor.

it will really help all of us if you can make following changes to the excel ---- no hurry, do it when your health is fine

add a new cell at the top. 'Extended Profit' . this could be 1.08 or 1.07, 1.06 with default 1.08

for each row, add one new coulmn (at the start or in first few). 'Last Order Lost'. acceptable values Y, N. Bydeault N. This means previuos order is in loss. Now if this is Y, then applicable factor column remains as it is or else (when N) do the calculations as we are doing today. what this means is when last order is in loss, then we do not recalculate/change the applicable factor. User will simply enter new High or Low in 10:35 or 10:15 cell. Also when Y, then use 1.08 cell (cell efine at top) to calculate profit. stop loss remains at fixed 1%.

with these changes we can easily handle double qty /extended profit orders without mistakes. User will simply change N to Y in 'Last Order Lost' column, enter new Hi or Lo. thats it, we will get new orders with extended profits

I would have done it, but i am not much into excel pogamming

Amar,
this same ACD system is being illustrated by dumdum in this thread

even i was surprised to see that INITIAL orders' levels were nearly same...
there seems to be no apparent connect, but will see over weekend... by then, dumdum would have initiated his new ACD thread.
Sunil, thanks a ton for pointing out the ACD thread.
Good to see you back on the forum and wishing you a speedy recovery.

Its great to know that the ACD system is being used on Nifty Futures. Its the only instrument I trade and this thread should prove to be of great help to me. Many thanks once again.

Hi , I am pretty new to stocks and day trading.

I found this thread interesting and was watching this for last two days.

I have a dumb query here:

The high and low at 10:35 is
High: 3,092.00
Low: 3,066.40

Based on this the orders would be
Buy @ 3,096.25
Target 3,111.74
SL 3,065.29

Sell @ 3,062.15
Target 3,046.83
SL 3,092.77

The Last traded price happens to be : 3080.00

Now here is the query:
Now when i place a buy order of 3096.25 or a Sell order of 3062.15 the same gets executed immediately and it is above the current buy price and the later is below the current sell price.

Now how will I make sure that the Buy order will get executed only at 3096.25.
Do I have to keep on waiting to see if the price corsses the 3096.25 mark and then place a buy order?

This may be a very silly question. But for me as a beginner, am not able to make out how this works.

Rajesha,

You have to place your buy and sell orders with stop loss trigger orders. Not the direct buy/sell order. Your system will allow u to place stop loss trigger orders. When u place the stop loss trigger buy order, your order will reach the exchange after that price materialised.Hope u understand.
