thanks columbus for the explanation, but still i am confused. i only understood entry 1 and exit1 as per yr chart. as per savant, sl would have hit the next candle after entry (i understood yr 14 point rule). whats exit 1 and 2 ? do we exit 50% on exit1 and remaining on 2 ? sl should never come after exit. sl immedietely after entry is the initail sl. clear. whats next sl ? u mean trailing sl ? if thats the case 12:45 candle would have been sl as it closes below 2 consequitive red bars
Yes.Exit.1 means 50% of your holding and Exit.2 means other 50%
also.

A red candle after green candle on TOP band indicates weakness
and 2nd red candle confirms the trend or bearishness ,so total
exit.

Generally or Ideally stoploss should between top band and central
band. But a trailing stoploss of 14 points is good idea.Stoploss should
not be a less figure ,otherwise it will be hit invariably.

12:45 candle has just kissed the central line ,we are talking about
top line.

BB(20,2) of nifty futures on time frame 3min-5min
are presented below.

Go long when Red,Green candles pierce the bottom band,
Go short when Green,Red candles pierce the top band

Please continue with TREND if candles graze TOP/BOTTOM
bands.

Then how come the bands show up at 11.40 AM?

now things are getting clear!
i am using Investbulls RT chart for intraday.......
(if i followed 5 min TF in my trade terminal,
then it will take 100 minutes
so BB start to show its band only around 11:40 AM)

shall i use IB RT chart for BB?
Investbulls too providing same features,
data of last three days!

they are charging around 350 rupees for
one month subscription for cash and Future!
only difference is IB symbol /scrips & Future are limited

still it is enough for nifty and minifty!
so only preferred i have that!

columbas ji. the charts are tiny, hardly visible. whats the diff between 2 ? also if u can put the actual trade values (entry, exit values) then it makes more sense to read the charts better. appreciate yr daily updates

Hi kainiteh,

I will take the question instead of Prasadam.
As per definition of BB-20 atleast 20 samples
are to be passed for appearence of BANDS.
In case of 3-min sample 3*20=60min be passed
for appearance of Bands (9.55+1=10.55AM).
In case of 5-min candles, 5*20=100min=1hr40min
(9.55+1.40=11.35).
Generally I prefer after 10.15 to take first entry.
There is no hard and fast rule for this.
