Hi Columbus,
Trying to blend your's and ST brothers oscillator (Stoch) methods on Gold and get some juice out of it.
Need your support to overcome some initial hiccups.
First pls let me know whether you ever happen to trade this method with commodities?!!
Considering that the session for commodities is of 13 hours 10AM -11PM what would be our ideal TF?
Pls note that I do not have any sophisticated S/W as of now . I use TT of sharekhan for daytrade and Investbulls for Swing trades.Will be getting Amibroker very soon.
Here below I have used 15 Min chart for friday and good news is that your's and ST bro's method coincide and complement each other.BB values that I used was 9,2

Yes ,Stoch also works wonders along with BB.There is another
indicator you can try ,RSI,which was discussed in post.1.
Stick to these 2 indicators along with BB ,not more than that,
often more indicators lead to confusion.
I tried BB with Nifty Futures only ,not with commodities.
In case of Nifty ,volatility depends on 50 stocks in the index.
But in case of Commodity ,I think the volatility depends on Bid-Ask
price.
I think the timeframe shown on your chart appears to be good.
You can think of 10min also.
Personally I feel that Tradetiger of Sharekhan is quite sufficient
and there is no necessity for another software.
As discussed previously BB(9,2) is good for scalping opportunities.
Since the BB cloud (topband-bottom band) is thinner in case of BB9
compared to BB20, there is a likelihood of early exit .
BB(20,2) of nifty futures on time frame 4,6min
are presented below.
Go long when Red,Green candles pierce the bottom band,
Go short when Green,Red candles pierce the top band
Please continue with TREND if candles graze(ride) TOP/BOTTOM
bands.

The market today bursted with cracking sounds.
Other day you told BB with Stoch works wonders and today was an example.I dont know how many were ready to short @ 5270 when all around the atmosphere was crazy and every one was expecting 5300.However We detected the trap laid by sharks and whales combining 2 excellent systems :clapping:.
Below chart is self explanatory.
However I have few questions.
1. Can you pls explain me for piercing which timeframe do you consider 4 or 6? I suppose 4 Min today gave few whipsaws whereas 6 min gave true signals.
Also Can you pls explain what do you mean by " using 6 min for direction and 4 min for finetuning"? Bcz I need to tune myself
As far as Gold trading is concerned I am still paper trading and will share my results once I am done.

Incidentally ,I too shorted at 5270 and covered at 5218.I missed
morning rally.
Today a whole host of stock with good weightage (SBI,HDFC,ONGC..)
were down except for Infosys and to some extent Reliance.
