Dear Mr Coloumbus
Thanks for the info you are a star!

Having now looked at a 5 min time frame for the ftse it seems that that may be best although i do only get 1 min and 5 min time frames nothing in between, do you think a 3/4/6 min are useful? and be better suited to your style i will try your technique this week and let you know how it works!

The only thing i worry about is for example in "grazing" style when 2 green bar have formed above the top bollinger on the third candle i enter it seems like much of the move has gone, do you wait for a slight pull back into the second green candle before entering or just enter as soon as the third candle opens and if so is this the case for piercing but just the other way round?? Am i correct in thinking the third candle is always the entry candle??

You are a very kind chap for helping me and i have a method i use currently that i wish to send you but i cant seem to be able to send a PM as i do not have this function "turned on" and am unaware of how to do this.

Hey MDS,

If it is possible to have 2 charts side by side ,with one at 1min
and the other at 5 min time frames ,it is good.Even 5 min chart
is also damn good.In the initial stages 1min chart looks good.But
as time passes out ,with more data ,it looks NOISY.Better to use
it for latest ONE hour data or so.

One has to have guts to catch a grazing bullish candle ,because it may turn
out to be a REVERSAL.But a couple of conditions will help

1.If there are no candles in the other band VIRTUALLY.
2.If somehow LOCAL and GLOBAL sentiments are strong.

To be frank ,I expected a bounce-back today.Because the earlier
3 candles fell from the middle line.
There is likelyhood of retracement in 75% cases and 25% of continuation
of trend.
This is quite similar to old case of 2/3 months where we saw continuation.
In such case keep on accumulating the NEXT month futures because
we have left few days for the expiry of the futures.

Hey MDS,

As desied by you showing places of Piercing and Grazing on
FTSE-100 chart.Since it is a chart with smaller tf ,there are
many such examples.My suggestion is enter a trade after 8.30.

you are a great chap, it is much appreciated, can i ask why at around 9:30 and 9:50 thesE are not piercing and also at 10am to the long side.There are many other occasions that look like piercing also after 10am.
It is interesting that you high light the first two and not the others, clearly i have alot to learn as i am spotting plays that are not valid using your Rules to trade.

BB(20,2) of nifty futures on time frame 4,6min
are presented below.

Go long when Red,Green candles pierce the bottom band,
Go short when Green,Red candles pierce the top band

Please continue with TREND if candles graze(ride) TOP/BOTTOM
bands.

Virtually no candles in top band ,except briefly at around 1400hrs.

On EOD charts what a vertical fall?

Hey mds,

Being a small time frame graph ,we have Piercing at atleast
more than half a dozen place.I omitted them.If you miss at
one place, certainly you can pick another.

Lower BB boundary EOD today on daily chart is at 4970. Nifty closed at 4850. Can we expect some kind of bounce atleast upto 4950 in the next day or two ?
