Gold chart for 1st Feb 10

Rangebound for first session then takeoff .Not a easy one to bet and enter.First sell signal gave at most a breakeven trade.Thats why I love Columbus and ST.They never lets our position to huge losses.:clapping:

BB(20,2) of nifty futures on time frame 4,6min are presented below.

Go long when Red,Green candles pierce the bottom band and wait for 15minutes
for confirmation , otherwise come out with stoploss

Go short when Green,Red candles pierce the top band and wait for 15minutes
for confirmation , otherwise come out with stoploss

Otherwise continue with TREND if candles graze(ride) TOP/BOTTOM
bands.

Dear Coloumnus and friends,
I mentioned i have been using this system on the FTSE/DAX and it has not been fantastic but has not been a looser overall a net winner but only small, but having read this post and seen the 15min confirmation rule this seems to be the missing piece of the puzzle.

I will let you know how it goes, thanks again and keep up the good work.

Kind regards
MDS

whipsaws are always there in every system...you will have to tweak it your way to get the most out of it with less whipsaws....

Also what defines a confirmation please could you let me know as i'm trying to keep to exact rule of the system i too am using 4.6 min thanks again

@rajputz,

How can I tweak against whipsaw? Any treak?. Any Method?

I appreciate you.
Thanks

Gautam
i believe for all the indicators we use like bllingers, stochastics, rsi etc etc, rather then complete technicals there are some emotional decision that are taken along to make the trade successfull. Like Some one working with stochastic might have understood the stochastic to the levels, that he understands the total price movement with it. Once he see that the price is not working according to the movement of indicators he exits from the trade. Similarly once he see price movement working according to his stochastic he enters at particular point. The emotional decision are nothing but, over the edge understanding of the indicators with the movement of the price. Whatever indicator you are using try to understand the movement of price with it. paper trade them and see where they are lacking, try to improve them. try to harness their strength and be out of their negatives. best method is to use stoploss so that you are protected from more whipsaws as price moves the indicators. And always trade with the direction of the trend.
