Dear time pass

In rule no 3 you have written , if the body comes out of bands & re enters then make & entry...

are you saying about body or closing outside the bands bcoz in none of the examples its appearing body outside the bands...

sorry if i misunderstood....

one more thing , are you taking trades on bollinger worm ??

& if yes plss tell wat is your success ratio??

I m also trading with bollinger bands from a long time & results are also not bad

but i m using bollingers with upper & lower bands with atr as filter for trades,, this reduces my profit , but generally trades are in my favour...

thanks...

Columbus has illustrated it in the previous post. To some extent, the Rule No. 4 is diluted by Rule No. 6, about riding the trend.

How are you using ATR with BB ?? Please post some examples.

1.Use standard Bollinger Bands ,that is, bb(20,2).

2.Use ema2-HIGH and ema2-LOW to outline the body of the worm.

3.If the body comes out of bands & re-enters ,then make an ENTRY.

4.The EXIT is, if body comes out the other band and re-enters the body.

5.In case of extreme Bullishness/extreme Bearishness another
pair is used pertaining to BB(20,1) or just for guidance in normal case also.

6.If candles are sandwiched between OUTER of BB(20,1) and INNER band
BB(20,2) then ride the trend .

7.If either ema-2H or ema-2L is cut twice by either BB(20,2),BB(20,1) or
SMA-20 in quick succession ,it indicates a END of a trend.

8.Continuation is indicated if both ema-2H and ema-2L are cut by SMA-20
and/or BB(20,1) and/or BB(20,2).

9.If the trade goes against you and if the divisions on Y-axis is not more
than 10,in that case you can add ONE or TWO trades, atleast 5 points apart.
(Or as per the volatility on that day).

Today we had very range-bound market ,with division spacing on Y-axis is
6 points.

Request you to elaborate your above trading method --bolinger bands with atr ---and If possible with charts.

Thanks

Dear columbus

how do we calculate spacing on y axis??

plss clarify....
Dear VIKAS21,

Have a look at Lower Right.See the difference between 2 consecutive Y-axis
readings.See the difference 5195-5189=6.

It is same as columbus method, the only difference is that when we enter in our tarde we set ATR as our filter ,

suppose we get buy signal at lower band at 5500( when candle reenter band)

and ATR at that time is 5.00, then we will enter at 5500+5= 5505, it saves us from whispaws & accuracy too..

rest things are same..

hmm.. new idea. Can you post the trades as per your strategy.. just for a few days so that we get a clear idea. Also, what parameter are you using for ATR ?? Here's a chart showing ATR(14)
