Should I quit learning/understanding this Trading by assuming Richi Rich's Game?

This is the great trick first most Enter as an Investor the long term ... slowly medium term ... short term... finally day trader It is very difficult resist trading to make money yes many loose the battle.... I think stock market is the most potential and lucrative business.. yet just few are successful the conclusion is we are human and we are emotional it's so difficult to over come it... the Greed and fear..!!

With 10k you can trade mini nifty and many others. It's the trading discipline that you have to develop. a) Trade identification, b) Timing of the actual trade, c) Setting targets and STOPLOSS. Just aim to increase your win-lose ratio and don't dream of adding zeroes to your capital overnight. For 18-24 months, don't look at the 'PROFIT', just look at your win-lose ratio.

Nice One TP ...

But with 10k you shouldnt enter future mkt .. one wrong trade and your capital goes down below required margin level ... moreover you have to trade intra and swing/positional trade risks are higher ...

TP,

Where is MM to trade MNF with 10K.....???

Nobody should Trade even MNF unless & until they have +50K atleast & with that amount only Trades suitable would be Intraday...

It is better to stick to Equity with a short term hold....and if an entry gives a decent profit on the same day as entry...one must book all or atleast partial profit....

Just having the required amount to trade in Derivatives is the most serious mistake committed by Traders.

He did say that he has 10-20k. So, 10k for minifty and 10 as backup. Follow minifty according to 315, waiting for the right trade (point (b) timing of the actual trade).

With equities he is going to be confused as hell with different recommendations coming up. If he is doing his own analysis, why not track one scrip only (nifty/mini) and not overload yourself ??. Select equities? How does the newbie select them ?

With 20 it's workable, though not recommended. But he has to have the patience to follow a strategy, wait for the right trigger. Newbies are generally prone to jump into a trade as soon as they have money :(

Thus spake the voice of painful experience(s) :D

TP,

I am aware that he has 20K, even with 20K you need to have certain amount of expertise....to trade & not blow up the account....

With 315 strategy... unless there is a tweak for a Trailing Exit or Trailing S/L it will not work....

It is a trend following system....like all trend following systems which perform very poorly in choppy markets....like the ones we are witnessing for many months....!!!

Hi SG

Trend following systems have given the best returns in the last 6 months ... atleast my trend following positional system has ...

Yes we had a bad september and an OK October ... but it was more than offset by August/November and december also already (200pts booked)....

I dont knw about 315 .. but my belief is if someone is trading on such small capital he is better off doing intra
