Dear Elagiri,

Allotment in IPO is on pro-rata basis. IF any segment got oversubscribed then basis of allotment is pro-rata. Search over the net you will get most of the information.

Pl suggest me under each sectors i want each stock for long term growth, say 3 - 5 yrs (lt & mt stks)

Till now my screening is on purely technical basis. Its very difficult to tell which stock will rise in next 3-5 years. But stock which is in uptrend, remains in uptrend after having corrections for a brief period. Those are testing times for investor.

My investment is purely rule based as of now. Regarding entry - profit booking - Exit. I dont have luxury of driving my emotions into my trades, as i am full time investor.

Dear Rangarajan,

BEML and kwality analysis on chart. Regarding kwality, its in conflict area, weak below green line.

LEvels to watch for are 125 / 105 levels. Failure to hold support here can have correction here.

Thanks anil Trivedi.

I have position in both.

Now can u pl corelate & comments diff TF as to why we see all Tf.
My undestanding is trade lower TF in harmony with Higher TF.

Then why look at Hourly, is it for entry.
Dear Rangarajan,

Almost 90% of my trades are in cash market. Rest 10% are in Nifty F&O, thats it.

Since i trade in cash market, and i need to take delivery of my stocks, since my span of holding is distributed from few days to months. So ideal start of looking at charts is weekly for me. Just studying weekly chart gives me intermediate trend going on in market. But initiating position on weekly need bigger stoploss. So i have my next timeframe as either daily. Focussing on hourly just gives the feeling of whats going on with volumes intraday and believe me, if daily is gonna give buy at xxxx levels, hourly structure will point what is going to happen. So i initiate part of position in hourly by price action strength, rest part i act only on daily close. So i am already in stock and have better stoploss management here.

If hourly is gonna fail, i got hurt on first tranche of position only. Thats ok, its a part of the game.

Arvind is in uptrend. Stock on weekly forming a potential inv. H&S pattern. On very short term it is weal below 300-306 levels, or expect support there if its a short term correction in it any.

On intermediate support is at 265-270 levels.

Price action wise stock did showing some strength sign but volume is not that much good. It seems players are cautious for breakout on upside, in other words volume may witnessed only on breakout if any.

Upside levels to watch are 335 / 348 / 355 /371....

Above 371 stock can trade in newer zone creating much higher levels in future.

Stock awaiting trigger, it seems from the chart...[/QUOTE]

Closing above 335 would be good for longs.

anil Trivedi,

In yr decision making, u seem to take only R/S & TL.

Wont u look at ADx, Stochstic.

In the above cases, ADX is strong around 50 & Stoch O/B more than 5 bars for kwality

I am Happy to know yr views.
Dear Rangarajan,

I use basic technical analysis tools, like R/S, Trendlines and one momentum indicator, I use momentum indicators on line of ROC. along with my favourite moving average.

Posting stochastics in earlier chart is for ppl who are indicator followers. Point there was simple trade in waiting, when higher timeframe (here weekly) in oversold condition, focus on some good positive divergence on lower timeframe(here Daily) to initiate trades, using trendlines at price action getting supported by important S/R level from Higher timeframe(here weekly). This is basic simple setup of using multiple timeframes.

I am more into reading what price is doing, is it rallying it with clean bars of strength with good volumes or just with weak bar spreads the rally is going on. The speed of move tells who is hurry here. How volume is acting on small/big breakouts. Thats it...
