Ninja Trader for practice use is free for as long as you want. When you want to trade with it, you first need a trading license which has one-time cost of US$999 (They've got recurring fee plan too)

On top of that, you need to pay for data every month and it is 55$ per month for real time from Kinetik (It is kind of sub-company of Ninja). Ninja provides tick data (not minute) and also stores data in tick format.

EOD data is free in Ninja. Archive/Backfill for Tick Data is also free using a tool named Market Replay Downloader. You can download back fill data going back 5 years (Level 1,Level 2 or Level 3);

In addition to Kinetik, there are other independent retailers who provide different variants of data at different price points.

Underlying for a Renko brick is a Tick. It can be formed either on Last Tick, Ask Tick or Bid Tick. Lowest brick size is 1!. You cannot use 1 minute O H L C data to form Renko bricks (to same level of accuracy, that is).

It is possible to create your custom Renkos and there are quite a few companies within NT domain that sell customized Renko bars. Handful of them will give you Custom Renko bar for free if you buy some another indicator from them.
