No probs.

Open price on NSE SPOT is taken as y'days close price. Compulsorily.
Therefore you do not find any gaps in NSpot. Now if close of stock is say 412 and open at 419, then the first candle will be a white one with 7rs value.
In futures, it will show a gap.
Inversely true too (i.e. for gap down)

I don't think that's entirely true 'cause for the past 30 trading days the
average, min and max gaps have been 3.275, 0.05, 32.6

check out today's SPOT LOW of 4469 and try to spot it in intraday chart - it's invisible

I know I noticed that too.. It doesn't show even on the nifty watch tick chat on NSE. maybe in the first minute around 9:56 we'll be able to see it. But I wanted to know how does nse calculate the opening price?
