Hi Nishikant,

NF ends the day and the Week at 4424, higher than your weekly resistance level of 4410. What next ? 4600 > 4789 > 4947.

Lancer.
Do not want to be a dampener but I think

Buy on rumours -- Already happened
Sell on news --- Waiting to happen

:D

Trade safe on Monday .. Brothers .... Don't get carried away

Carried away to where ..... :D

since i have this options excel calculator ready:
if, on 30-July-09, Nifty settles ANYWHERE between 3600 & 5000, you will end in profit (the same 70 pts of initial credit).
Cake = 3800 / 4800
Icing on cake = 4900

Infact, if u wanna increase your profit, sell 1 more lot of the same put & call (instead of 3, sell 4) and so on
I agree.. Above 5000 or below 3600 (though unlikely it will reach thr) The risk is toooo high..

In Both the strategies i have taken.. I play to square off trades before the expiry or If i feel prices are coming nearer to my break even point..
Cant take a lot of risk man..

Boond boond se samundar banana chahta hoon !! :D

unusual request, but for NR4-2 / NR7's sake -
hoping that 4405 does not turn up on screen
Hi sunil, can you tell me what is difference between NR4 and "NR4-2" you have ementioned in the post?

I have heard people mention NR7 and NR5. Have you found NR4 significant. Strangely I too was hoping for a NR day. I have noticed you use excel and pivots which I too use (since I don't have any advanced charting software). Hoping you can provide some insight based on your trading experience since I am fairly new to trading.

When 2 NR4 days occur one after another, the second day is known as NR4-2 day.
Example:

Day Range
1 85
2 110
3 97
4 78 (NR4day)
5 65 (NR4-2 day)

NR4-2 day may or may not be NR5(if I am correct)

Happy Trading

PS: I hope you wont mind me answering this instead of sunil sir. Wud request sunil sir to please correct me if I am wrong

I definitely don't mind anyone aswering...

Well, if you have a NR4 day right after a NR4 day then the second day would have to have a range narrower than the previous day (NR4-1) with the previous day being the narrowest for the past 4 and and the current (NR4-2) bring the fifth day would be a NR5 always. Atleast that's what it looks like to me... unless there is a statistical significance of 2 NR4 days as opposed to a NR5.
