AFAIK, there is no such binding on schools run by minorities institutions, they are free to teach religious teachings, in schools and they are teaching such things.

In our state AFAIK all school teaching NCERT or SCERT syllabus, including minority institutions

I had my schooling in a school run by a minority institution and we had a period on religious teaching. Dont remember (it was long back) it was a daily period or something like that.
