I have never tried josh utility can you send me the link where I can try? How much does it cost? The cost is not for 5 scrips only 5 scrips simultaneously I can get data for all scrips that I need.

Please provide details to get trial on Josh utility. So that I can have a look at that.

There are a few utilities that you can use for pulling data from your terminal

1. By josh
It is free but need some skill to configure and install. I do not have skill for that , so never tried. But it is a good utility. It is with backfill facility.

2. By Yusi
It is a very good utility easy to use, with backfill facility. But it is said that Yusi is not providing anymore. However, you may try for it by contacting yusi on pm. I will certainly recommend this. This is not a freeware but a giftware. Feel yourself lucky if you get this utility. But one thing, this utility requires dot net framework 4 and if you are still using XP then XP SP3 as on XP SP2 you cannot install dot net 4.

3. By Kalyan
This one a new entrant. So do not know much about it. But seems good as per description

4. Utilities by aamaadmisoftware dot com

Here you may get Nest2Ami free and Pro,
Free one is without backfill and Pro is not free, a paid one (250 Rs pm) and with backfill facility

Odin2Ami
Free utility without backfill facility. Can be used with Odin only

Excel2Ami
This one is a free utility but without backfill facility. Here Terminal is linked with Excel with is then connected with Amibroker. Not difficult to configure and install but some skill is required. Can be used with Odin, Nest and NOW

So you can choose one as per availability and per your skill for configuration and installation.

Josh himself is now using TracerBullet free tool (for NOW/NEST only). Excellent and superfast for NOW/NEST users :thumb:. No limit on number of scrips (only limit comes from NOW/NEST). Does not use excel.

For backfill of NOW/NEST use Josh free tool given in Josh signature (http://www1.zippyshare.com/v/28035532/file.html).

This is the way most are using.

Have you used this Tool by TracerBullet. How to configure it. ReadMe file is in .md format and I am unable to open this type of file.

Secondly, while downloading Backfill 0.5, Avast AntiVirus is not allowing it to download and stops its download in middle stating presence of Malware. I can understand that it can be a false alarm but how to download it, bypassing Avast.

Open Notepad++ or Wordpad, do ctrl+O and select .md file. Its just a text file.

Looks like the Tutorial.pdf file that explains steps is missing from the upload. Get the pdf from http: //www. 4shared. com/zip/xqg6E4G7ce/AmibrokerFeeder_0141_binary.html

downloading Backfill 0.5: false alarm. It's just a bunch of text files (*.au3) that have been converted to exe. I have gone thru these text files and converted them to exe. Absolutely no Malware/viruses at all. Don't know about Avast, maybe temporarily disable Avast.
If anyone is still worried about Malware etc, they can directly run the text files. NO exe needed at all if AutoIt is installed. I very slightly modified the text files to suit my needs and directly run the text file daily for backfill.

I am not worried about malware, I can understand this is a false alarm. But Avast is not allowing even the download of the file. I will have to find a way to download the file by bypassing Avast.

BTW, how to directly run the text files.

Judging by SGX nifty, the market is likely to open flat. It may spend today in sideways/corrective phase as whenever there is a big move the earlier day, next day market moved sideways most of the times (unless the follow up action continues the next day..)

Looking for a dip to add to the Nifty long positions...

Not sure whether the market will give that much correction but will be looking for market action and when the market starts refusing to do down further, I will start buying....level the market will indicate.
