Someone asked me here 2 days back where I see NF at EOD Friday 21-11-2014 up or down from that days level I replied that I am expecting it to be up....That time NF was below 8400 I think , the short term trend had turned down but The medium term trend was up in medium term we have to bet on longs...and the market is going to be closing up from that days levels.

Should we use various TFs to decide various kinds of trends like short ,medium & long term? I mean short term trend which is showing on 5 min? for medium trend which time frame should be used..30 min or 60 min?
I sometimes get confused between short term ,meduim term & long term trend?

It's ok to get confused, if you get the direction right and some of the trades in the direction. A lot of us here are not confused, very sure of the direction, but still get the trades that are confused

Using smaller and bigger timeframes for short,medium and long term trends is what most do...and it is easy. But one can see all these 3 trends on a single timeframe of 5/15 min too...and that is a bit difficult but will give full picture of the trend.
