Hi
A novice question..How do u calculate rate of return on investment..
ex .if we have 10,000 rs in our trading capital...we get 10 times exposure in intraday cash segment....so we can buy shares of rs 1,00,000rs...
we buy 100 Icici share @1000 rs...& we sell it @ 1010....so we get profit of 1000rs..so should we calculate our rate of return on 1 lac rs or 10,000 rs?
if we calculate it on 1 lac..its 1%..which is good..& if we consider it on 10,000..its 10%..which is great!..
so tell me how do u calculate it
thjanks
Hi
The rate of return on investment will be calculated on the amount invested and not on the total trade done.
So it will be 10% return on investment.

Please note that the question asked by NT is only an example.
And you wont get such return on your investment in sharermarket, otherwise every investor/trader would have been a multimillionaire.
So dont get lured by the example.

Aur yadi sharemarket se kabhi mil bhi jata hai to yahi market doosare haath se kahin jyada le bhi leti hai.

और यदि शेयरमार्केट से कभी मिल भी जाता है तो यही मार्केट दूसरे हाथ से कहीं ज्यादा ले भी लेती है.
इस बात का हमेशा ध्यान रखना

The caution which you have remarked is absolutely right. Newbies tend to calculate ROI on basis of leverage but they forget the danger of leverage as it is a double edged sword .
