Before the event some insiders always know price sensitive information and they take positions in that directions in options market. Saliba has specially designed softwares to track and pop up this excessive volumes.So sudden large volume indicates something happening in the stock and this is a perfectly legal way of trading on such publicly available information.
Sad to know that even terrorist acts also , positions are taken in options market in different countries to take advantage of price dropping. Sad to see people making money on such acts against humanity. There were large options positions reported in press which were taken and profitably booked in different countries before World Trade Centre attack in US. Everyone should condemn this act....
