do you trade the options the same way u trade futures or is there a different trading style of trading options?
do holding the options give more returns than in intraday(in the duration u traded them)
If you are asking about option greeks then please mujhe baksh do...
I don't know anything about it.
This month I have taken option position at major bunch of Sup & Resi area, as today posted in chart.
Yes, this gave me more returns than intraday. In inraday either I was exited much early or booked loss many time due to fear of contra move.

Frankly speaking in past month I was very careless about my entry and exit in any instrument....
You wont believe I am the person who kept short position open in the first week of Dec, when Nifty run up 200+ points against my position. It was one of ST da post for somebody else but it opened my eyes otherwise you just imagine Election poll and Result ki rally ke baad mera kya hota...

From my bottom of heart, really THANK YOU very much STda for your time to time alerts which changing my Trading Life day by day.

What kind of options did you take in general? Sorry to ask, as I have not read all your post. I understood that the so called option Greeks are not for you, as not for many others, but you surely are able to say: Out of the money options, at the money options or in the money options? Even I as a beginner in option trading have that kind of knowledge about options.

If you hedged your future trading with any kind of options and you say you have been careless with many future trades, the choose n options must have reduced your loss in a way that they made nearly the same or even a better amount in return.

Most of the time ATM, once sure about trend and target OTM.
As I said earlier, at that time there was carelessness and ego so hedging, wedging was weak hearted peoples thing for me. :D

Maybe I miss understand your post, but hedging is professional and has nothing to do with weak hearted or what so ever people.

Asking further for educational purpose as there is an explanation gap in your post: Once sure about the trend and target, then OTM options came into play as you say. Now if target was reached, was target reached with the option price or with the future spot level?

You didn't misunderstood. You are right about hedging but I was under wrong impression till the Dec setback of me.
I keep the target of spot price, but I keep moving TSL on 30 min TF or major pivots of future price which keeps me in win win situation.

Ok. Get that point. Now when you start your strategy with options and futures, which instrument you use first: Options or futures?

Options are for purely positional purpose and Future is for purely intraday purpose.
First option entry because of limited risk compare to future, once setup in future is confirm I take entry in future.
One more thing, in Jan I traded most of the time BNF, very rarely in NF, as I found BNF gives more tradable moves than NF.
