Onam is a festival in the state of Kerala...you can read more about it in this link
http://www.onamfestival.org/

NaMo = Narendra Modi (Indian Prime Minister) who wishes Shashi Tharoor on this occasion.

Shashi Tharoor is opposition party MP from Kerala.
I may add that NaMo was a catchword for Narendra Modi and BJP during elections....now NaMo makes the opposition to chant NaMo ...NaMo...

How to trade a range bound market like now in the Dow?

Wanna have a discussion about that?
its not about how to trade, its about how to identify that the range bound period is still there and the current breakout is not an actual breakout.

Thanks for your answer. You have to see that your country has so many things to show to the world, what ever it is on culture, politics, education, food and so on. How many times do I see that bad post's are made about your country in this forum for what ever reason. To me, as a not India person, I many times get a bit confused about it, but surely that is why I do not see or have the whole picture about the situation in your country. Still: Since I am here I have seen and learned a lot about India and when ever I read any news paper or Internet media, I always check what is on news there from India.

Thanks for showing interest to learn about our country....as in any other place here also we have good and bad things.
Bad things get highlighted quicker and good things are not.

Good answer. :thumb: But what about when such a range now shows up for over two weeks like now in the Dow? So we have/can trade it if we not/can wait for ever for the break out on either side. If you not want to stay away from that market, what is next to implement the trade?

Maybe also expand the discussion to its inter-relation with USD/JPY :thumb:

The post was more meant in the way if there are questions how to do it?

Means: If interest is there from who ever on what ever level, people ask and I answer if it makes sense to the question.
I do follow Dow daily for two reasons,

1) many times nifty follows Dow and impacts nifty opening.
2) Just to see how I'm able to judge price action in a live chart

I don't have access to good charting software for Dow. So I use google finance just to check chart...Here is one. I think below the thin horizontal line its short in Dow for now. :thumb:

but looking at higher TF like 30m chart...it can bounce from here again..so please let me know how we can trade this.

Not sure about US markets, but in indian markets generally the big moves start at the starting of every new expiry. If its not moving in first few days, we can expect a range bound month. Option pricing and weekly charts give many clues.
