1 small scalp today, Rs. 100 profit, rest SOH. My first experience with selling options, went ok. Let's see what the new year brings.
Hi TP, although I dont have much experience with selling options, but from what I understand of it, the primary motive for opting for a selling options strategy would be to profit from premiums decay over time.

For scalping for 100 bucks, I think selling naked options is the most dangerous ....
One spike/strong move against your position could cause good havoc. :annoyed:

That spike can cause problems even with buying options, right ?

Anyway, today was just a test case. I guess that when one has determined the possible direction of the index, then on rangebound days like today, it was better to sell a call than buy a put.

I guess I will be scalping till I am more confident.

Theoretically speaking, if bought, max loss is premium paid; if sold, well ... :D

On a different note, do you trade only options or futures as well ?
