Though today End with out any move ..still a down move is there --IMO ..

Suddenly wondering What type of world we are living ..

we put our hard cash in the market and holding our breath every day passes to at least save the money we put in .. this should not be the way ..

See an example of classical manipulation in McDowell Stock.This stock is still languishing around 2800 levels.

Amit, While what you say is true, we have to ABSOLUTELY take responsibility for our trades. If as you rightly say that Algos are manipulating the stocks for the first 10-15 minutes - the solution is obvious : To not trade during the time prices are volatile... and to not trade stocks that have low liquidity and can be easily manipulated. As traders, we CANNOT blame Algos, FII's, etc.... etc.... Only when we take full responsibility for our trades and our actions, can we expect to get out of victim mentality and become traders : who are aware of tricks and pitfalls of of trading and trade responsibiliy. My 2C.

All technicals being *@*@ed by Algo trading,making trading difficult for retail traders.
As an example see the following

On 9/6/2014
LT opened at 1702.5 and the first 5 min bar made a low of 1539.
On 2/6/2014
BajajAuto opened at 1945.05 with first 5 min bar low at 1924.02 and next 5 min bar high at 1990.05
On 30/5/2014
Spot Nifty opened at 7256 and first 5 min bar made a low at 7118.45

and several such examples of manipulated data and trading making life miserable for intraday and swing trading.


Also major moves come in the first 5 min or last 15 min when it is very difficult for day traders to trade.

Not to mention the huge gap ups and gap downs on open in index and stocks.

It is a method which identifies a low risk buy or low risk sell areas . There are some conditions to be met in a sequence before we come to the low risk area.
For further information google search Thomas DeMark Sequential system. We have a thread on it in Traderji as well.
