re: Day trading Nifty & Banknifty Futures

This happened many times with me, but on long side.
On chart you wont find anything but on data table ........ :annoyed:

Hello Friends ,

Following this thread for past few days for my Options Intraday trade ,This is my first post .

I have a specific question, I have executed a short order to Sell 7600 CE at 124.10 at 11.59 AM ,with SL of 127(Trigger)-128(Executed) at 12.00 .

I found that my SL got triggered automatically at 12.03 PM at 127.30 ,at that moment(12.03 PM ),that high Price is not showing on my charts ,I use ANGEL ODIN DiET candles to AMIBROKER FEED.

At 12.03 ,High of the candle was just 125.10 and that price did not came after my Entry ,I m not able to understand why this order got executed.

Is this similar experience happened to some one else as well, and reasons why such things happen ???

Thanks in advance

Flag formation on Weekly charts :)
Can you post a chart about it ? Anyway, don't know about flag formation, but there's a bearish divergence on the stochs and RSI on the weekly. Also, the weekly left 3ema for 2nd week last week and touched it this week.

But not much use looking at the weekly charts for an intraday scalper, is there ? :p

I think , if you click on Market on the top bar , you get an option for data window or data table.

In other software's ,pressing Cntrl + D works.

If you ask the broker about your executed trade , he will tell you to check your trade on NSE site.

A helpful site

One Good Article to read.....

The Journey

Success in trading does not come from a Holy Grail strategy that you simply implement with discipline.
You can't just GET a trading system or strategy; you have to BECOME a trader.

It's a journey of trial and error; of two steps forward and one step back; of growth and development.
It‟s the infinite variations on the patterns, within an environment of uncertainty, being executed and
managed by a trader, handicapped by fear based heuristics, biases and flawed decision
making processes, that make this game so hard.

Its journey that you have to take; a process of growth and development.
Learn to read the price action. Determine the market environment. Learn to place current price
action into the context of the larger time frame price action. Identify areas of opportunity within
that environment. Find a low risk entry position. Get in. Manage the hell out of the trade, in order
to firstly minimize risk and secondly maximize opportunity. Make a ton of mistakes. Review
them. Learn from them. Repeat them over and over until it finally sinks in. Grow and improve.
It's not about simple, objective entry and exit rules. It‟s about knowing when to take the setup
and when to avoid it (based on context and the current nature of price action). It's about knowing
when to use a pullback (limit order) entry or when to take a breakout entry. It's about knowing
when to scratch a trade, rather than hold on hoping for it to reach the target. It's about learning to
be ok with being wrong. It‟s about learning to TRUST yourself. It‟s about learning to TRUST the strategy.

It‟s about forgiving yourself when you make mistakes. Again and again and again!
