Day Trading Stocks & Futures

re: Day trading Nifty & Banknifty Futures

Hi DSM,
Thanks for your views.
Actually i dont mind posting my views and welcome others view..similar or opposite doesnt matter as my aim is to learn, there are always things that we can miss. What i would like from people is to see history of the trade, what was the rationale behind that trade.. without that it's unfair to me or anyone else who has taken that trade.
Generalizing or making assumptions frustrates me, be it trading or politics.

It is ok to have a view on events, but we must be flexible to do a quick turnaround based on what the screen says. Markets can do anything, and go anywhere. The quicker we are to recognize this, change our thinking and align our position with the market, the better we can trade.

Yup, you are correct, i have now changed my plans. Intraday will be according to what screen shows, nothing complex in that...
positional now am not gonna short tomorrow unless we have a big upmove today testing 7800 before budget which is a very low probability imo, i am looking for building up long position starting maybe friday close or monday morning.. have to first see how tomorrow pans out.

Vertigo, There is a beautiful quote that I love about life, and I relate to the market as well. i.e Life unfolds itself to us in small moments. And it is only in those moments, that we are a given a choice to act, which has an impact on the course of our life, or on our trading P&L.

Any decision (good, bad, positive or negative) that we take in the present moment, will have consequences, which we have to live with. What we have thought, felt, analyzed, theorized etc. before does not matter - but just what we do when we have a choice. Trading, in essence, is about what action you take in the moment that is presented to you. And the beauty of this and of life, is that these moments once gone, will never comeback.... its as some wise man said before : You cannot stand in the same river twice.

Cheers.
