Do you see the volume on that tiny candle on yest close?
Look at the volume (which is lesser) and size of the candle which is far larger in today's opening.

Typically that EoD candle is large institution type order whereas opening is retail :D

I thought the bomb would've dropped bcos it tends to unfold around these quite times but its still silent.
Whatever transaction happened in that small EoD candle is actually capable of nuking the index :D:D:D
It may include rollovers etc from lastThu but since it is strategically EoD, its very well planned.

EDIT: 5m Chart of BNF

just check in the 2 trades..OBV is useless when it not a BO..two are corrective moves.. first trade good second trade just eaten
Ha ha ha, I've formed that opinion about indicators in general for intraday trading a long time ago :D
Somethings that are static is VA,MP, S/R, Pivots, Price Action, Volume Action (I will one day coin a trading method on this :p)
Bcos indicators don't fully support, ppl unknowingly are pushed into predicting mode.
If indicator is up, mind tells u it'll cycle up n then down.
If trader only wants to do that, price itself will show you where its heading.

The spike of a volume candle is what OBV will show you :p
Another thing about Volume, it can be called Volume skew like Volatility skew.
Natural tendency of volume is highest at opening and closing on average days.
just like a volatility smile :)
so OBV on daily/weekly TF is far different from a Intraday TTF.

travi bhai ... if are using sword you should know when to use it and how ..it is not the problem of sword( indicator)..it is that point where people fail to understand i.e when to leave it...as long as these confusion is there in minds of people they will lose the game with indicator.. :D

same is the point with price people first fuse, then defuse
