D mart is a stock we guys dont often talk about here because its not F&O. Its down close to 23% from the top.

The other day I was listening to business news channel on ILF&S saga to understand little bit on how come suddenly this thing crop up... Panel members were very frankly sharing their views on how it's becoming a status symbol for leading business tycoons or big shot to remain as executive director or non-executive director on number of companies board....
They just count these seats as trophies...
They further shared rating agencies also enjoy lot of favors from these companies.. Rating agencies analyst son/daughter foreign education or stays etc are completely sponsored by companies...
One of the members openly said that it's a shame that govt has not acted yet and dissolved the current board of ILF&S
After three working days I heard govt sacked the ILF&S board and appointed new board
Uday kotak has a lot of work to do at kotak, so does G C Chaturvedi at ICICI, don't know how these people can resolve the mess without using tax payers money

Regarding the eicher motors I have this opinion. I could be wrong.
"When I and many of us from the70's and 80's was a kid or teenager we remember the enfield bullet as an iconic bike but could not get.Now many of that age group population is at an earning stage and can afford it.Hence we saw a huge upswing in sales over the last few years.This bike was at the heart for that generation.But what is eicher doing for the next generation.I am sure the next generation dont have the same appeal for the bullet.
They need to innovate.

Think you could get this at about 500-600 in the next one year if the selling continues this way.

I was out whole day traveling for official work, couldn't trade but was watching once in a while...
Saw a Harley Davidson overtaking us, we were at 120 on NH, but HD fellow was probably 140-150

Regarding the fall in eicher, if competition really comes in it can go below 20k easily...
Ramdeo Agarwal bought eicher at 400 for those who don't know....

I also like Bata, was wearing it during school days...but it is now entering premium category products too..
D Mart is undisputed place to shop when u have it in your city....both are on my radar too but need to accumulate money in this fall so can invest then....
