Dont short it.. put a dummy order which will not execute and see how much margin it takes. I'm getting too many conflicting margin requiremnts regarding MIS margin (all a/c holders are using cover orders) .. but I dont like CO, I use only NRML but want to give MIS a try

Thats because it suddenly stops working and wont be available when you need it. But found other brokers have different issues as well. So have not shifted yet.

Zerodha all details are there in their website. I think traders use various brokers. Just check in the other thread of amutham , you will get details from actual people shorting options.

Maruti gone to 6150. Still 100 rs upmove pending.

the way market was behaving i sort of anticipated a small bear squeeze before the up move ( though i didnt think it will be so big),so i was holding my options without stops. in addition i had placed a buy order for maruti @ 6137. which got filled, now i'll see when to cover the positions

Maruti also has a bad habit of moving after 3.10. once all the brokers have squared off their mis/bo/co orders. so generally you end up with little profit many times
