All MPs ,MLAs, Ministers,Opposition leaders all get best medical facilities....no one goes to 6 months bridge course doctors, they all get medical facilities from AIIMS.

Bridge course doctors are for going to villages where no MBBS and MD doctors want to go.....these 6 months course doctors are good for general duties like giving an injection ( even a nurse can give injection) , giving various tikas to children which does not require any specialised knowledge, cold, cough etc common ailments...for more complicated treatments, specialised doctors are there.....

Thats a mistaken view. A quack sitting in middle of city practicing his art, after taking bridge course.. Do you seriously believe, he will leave his "practice" and go to serve the villegers etc. He is more likely to flaunt his degree and compete with specialised docs, that too at much lower fee.
Btw, this bridge course is also for Auush, Auyerved, Homeos, who can practice modern medicine after completing the above course. Which if they do, will prove that they themselve have no faith in their own system of medicine. And UK medical council just declared... homeos inform their patients that their system offers no better cure than faith healing in other words, it does not work.

@RadhuK I am attaching the official NMC bill, section 32 is what you are concerned about (it talks about community health workers), the 'bridge course' as such is not part of the bill. But with or without bill, the quacks are here to stay as they are vote banks....

Health care is very serious issue in our country. Recently I had some medical issue to a family member and the way I was made to run from pillar to post and sub standard and very high cost medical service.....with spending any amount of money was not a problem but I fear what would be the condition of poor people in our hospitals.....

Few months back a cardiac surgeon living in my building lost his mother due to old age and his first reaction was " thank God my mother was not required to get admitted to any hospital...though I am a doctor , I know what wrong practices are going on in hospitals and I am scared to admit any of my relatives in the hospitals......" imagine a practicing doctor saying this...

Thats going to be the furture.. Small nursing homes etc are getting un viable. Doctors getting beaten up. So many incidents recently, not a single word from top leadership. Corporate Hospitals are profit centers first, health care providers later. They will and do employ any means, ethical/non ethical to generate profits. Even that cant work any longer. Why do you think Max, Fortis Medanta groups are selling out.
Frankly , health is no priority for Indians, Govt, mango people all encluded.

What you experienced is common to all multi speciality corporate hospitals, I can relate to it, have been at receiving end myself. But that's only a small part of the story, affordable health Care is being booted out by the government, by itself it (government) has failed miserably to provide the same in sarkari hospitals. Unfortunately babus are deciding what is right and wrong.
Be assured great majority of medical practitioners still care about best for their patients....

Heard of the latest NMC bill, passed few days back.
This allows, quacks to do 6 months bridge course and practice modern medicine, among other things.
